Repairing General Ledger Integrity

Purpose
The GL Rebuild script is designed to rebuild all General Ledger balance records based upon existing General Ledger detail records. This will generally repair integrity problems identified by the following General Ledger integrity checks: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 11, and 13.
Instructions
- Download MIPQry.exe. The GL Rebuild script is executed using a program called MIPQry.exe. Please refer to the "Related Articles" section on the right hand side of this screen and click on the "MIPQry Instructions" article for more details.
- Choose the version of the script for your operating system and MIP product version.

- Save the script file into the MIPQry folder (It is located at C:\MIPQry by default) on your workstation.
- Back up your organization database(s).
- Run all General Ledger integrity checks. If any of these integrity checks fail: 2, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15,16 -> do not execute the script; it will only compound the problem. The database will need to be sent to MIP for repair of these failures.
- Execute the script as part of the MIPQry.exe process.
- Run all General Ledger integrity checks. All should pass.
